Goodwill & eBay Scores !

We went to Goodwill the other day, on a mission, to find an outfit. In addition to finding the ever-so-important outfit, up by the register, I see a little gem waiting for me ::

It's a Tarte Eyeshadow Pallette!

Tarte is a cosmetics brand sold at Ulta and Sephora, and immediately upon using (the thing was in BRAND NEW CONDITION) the eyeshadow, I could tell that this wasn't your random cheap eyeshadow. I did my research to find out that this particular palette, with a dual side brush and dual eyeliner. Never used. Awesome.

Anyway, retail was about $45.

What did I pay?

$1.99.
Yes, you read that right. A buck ninety nine. I feel like I hit the jackpot, again!!

On to some other stuff I purchased on ebay and received today ::

some sweet pearl necklaces. Including shipping, total cost under $20 !!

The last one had a loose strand of pearls, I said never fear, cause I make jewelry and I can fix it easily. Well, when I was going to fix it, I decided to take the long strand completely off, I am going to be making a different necklace with a broch and grossgrain ribbon :)

YaY

I have found a totally useful site. Instructables.com. This Category shows you how to make everything from leggings, to purses, bags, and other clothing/fashion.

YaY, again!

Get this :: I am toying with the idea of combining all of my blogs into one blog . Gasp. The horror!

But, it might be fun, and it will definitely give me a chance to weed out the crappy posts, get a little more organized and cohesive, since all of my blogs are about being frugal, basically, I figured I would make it an all around "frugal" blog.
Or something else.
I dunno.

huge free stuff and bargain haul today!

so I shopped at Goodwill the past two days. I got 8 pairs of jeans, a (real) Coach checkbook wallet, a shiseido makeup bag, a sterling silver ring, an interesting scarf thing, a beautifully soft sweater by Soma, a Hollister hoodie , an awesome computer keyboard (ours was in desparate need of replacement) and a crap-ton of home decoration items. Cant forget about the 2 tubes of Nivea Anti-Cellulite lotion, the shower nozzle with the extension rope thingamabob, and the awesome hair dryer!! Total spent :: $38

Yeah. I love shopping at goodwill !!

so Lacey and I had this great idea that we wanted to go dumpster diving. during this outing, we discussed a lot about our business idea of running the consignment shop together. we have most of the ideas and inventory in place, we just need a place to do it, like a storefront or whatnot.

I guess that could maybe be a new goal I am setting for myself....
Anywaysss...... we scored the following, free from the side of the road :: a dirt devil bagless vacuum in excellent working condition, some really interesting driftwood, an Estee Lauder makeup train case, some Avon bath and body products, more coat hangers than I will EVER need again, a beautiful Autumn wreath in a fancy rubbermaid wreath container, a bag of decorative pebbles and a large marble ball, a rad turquoise and brown indian style bracelet, a few cute shirts, a wicker/driftwood chair just missing the cushion, a bunk bed ladder which I plan to use as a bookshelf of some sort, 2 large Rubbermaid storage containers with lids, approximately 20 old records, and approximately 25 books. And a pretty cute piggy bank.

Hanger Overload!

I am amazed at the turn out of this night! we are going to go dumpster diving again, next time, during the daylight .. .and possibly with a truck. we even talked about renting a U-Haul for the day.
... talked about.

LOL

That's all I have for you today. Ebay sales are going well ... going to start changing over my wallet stuff from my small Burberry billfold, to my new Coach Checkbook :)

No Job :: Day One

I have the credentials for many nice "career" jobs but am looking for something small to help pay the bills. Like, I just got my car fixed, so that will add gasoline and insurance to the list of bills..... anywhooo....
enough about my personal troubles. Let's get into a positive frame of mind!

I changed the layout on most of my blogs. Thanks to cutestblogontheblock.com for providing the beautiful artwork.

I have been crafting today , with a TON of new treasures from thrift stores. Went on a day long thrift store trip! It was awesome. One of the best days I've had in a LONG time.
Pictures coming soon. I also have a lot of new eBay inventory which I need to photograph and list. Whew, life in itself is a FULL TIME JOB. LOL.

Alright, Im off to cook (check this out .....) hamburger helper mix with italian link sausage.

crazy? probably. but awesome? YES!!! I'll let you know how it turns out !

P.s. ::: please leave me comments! i love comments =)

ebay Treasures !

Today, in my mailbox, I received a package I recently won on ebay. It's a full size unopened bottle of Proactiv Toner, and a full size unopened bottle of a very fancy Olay Regenerist Cream.

I want to try all this new Olay stuff, but it is pretty pricey. Ebay is a real good place to buy beauty products at a cheap price, so that you can try them before you pay full retail. I already know that I love the Proactiv toner, and it's hard to find a bottle on ebay for even as much as the COMBO of these two items.
I feel like I hit the jackpot !!

And for practically free, I figured I'd give this Olay stuff a try.

Total cost INCLUDING shipping :: $13.00 :)

Olay DNA Superstructure UV Cream with SPF 25 - Retail - $19.99

Proactiv Toner - Retail - $19.95

It's a little cloudy here at the beach today. How is everyone else's Saturday going?
